Terms of Service

Last updated: 26 June 2026

In plain terms: use TaskMetric for your own productivity, don’t misuse it, and understand that it’s provided “as is.” Your data is yours.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the TaskMetric mobile app and website (together, “the Service”), provided by Absolute Solutions (“we”, “us”), a company based in Tanzania. By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use TaskMetric for your own lawful productivity purposes, subject to these Terms and any applicable app store rules.

3. Accounts

The Service can be used without an account in offline mode. If you create an account to enable sync, you are responsible for the accuracy of your registration details and for keeping your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users’ data, or our systems;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Service except where permitted by law;
  • disrupt or place an unreasonable load on our infrastructure; or
  • resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.

5. Your content and data

You retain ownership of the tasks, sessions, and other content you create (“Your Content”). You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate features you use — for example, storing and synchronizing Your Content when you enable sync. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and the TaskMetric name and logo, is owned by Absolute Solutions and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any of our intellectual property rights to you.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers (such as app stores, cloud hosting, authentication, and synchronization services). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important data.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Absolute Solutions will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or productivity, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or where necessary to protect the Service or other users. You may delete your account and data as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify or discontinue features, and we may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, and the courts of Tanzania will have jurisdiction over any dispute, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
